Hi! It is Kim here and I have just spent several hours with my friends, Karan Sheets and Phyllis Price trying to figure out my own blog. I am so excited to start it up again. My wonderful son Ben has decided to strike out on his own in this crazy antiques business. It has been a lonely couple of months without him but I am getting used to being back on my own again. He is doing well and I will get his help in hooking him up to this site so everyone can see what he has been up to and how to know his show schedules and such. He has a spot in Richmond at the West End Antiques Mall and it looks just great. I went right there and bought something from him trying to be his first customer there!!! I do know that he is headed to Roundtop Texas in September and hope he sells out!! He is also selling in Atlanta at Don Scotts. So check him out. He has a great eye!! It runs in the family.
Things have been great here at the shop. This week we shot the ad for The Scout Guide which is coming to Richmond this fall. What a great book and I am so happy and proud to be in it. I have kept an eye on it since Susie Matheson and Christy Ford brought it to Charlottesville a few years ago and am so happy that it is going to be hitting some really great cities, including ours. There will be a great group of very select and exclusive businesses. The best of the best in our River City. Next up….learning how to do the pictures to add to the blog.
It is definitely summer here in Richmond. Grove Avenue has quieted down like it does every year at this time. Its hard to believe that i have been on this block for 19 years but it is true!! I, like alot of others around here am getting ready to head out, way out. France next week and then home for two weeks and then off to Denmark and Sweden. I have to be thinking towards the fall!! I have a feeling that I will be talking way too much on this thing called blog…..
